Yoga Nidra is a process of allowing the body to move into a space of deep sleep while the mind remains awake, conscious, and quiet. Yoga Nidra means Yogic Sleep, and while distinctly different than meditation, it can include meditation, breathing, and other techniques, as this session does.
This practice invites us to leave the waking state of existence, move past the dreaming state and enter a space of deep sleep while remaining awake for as long as possible.
This Yoga Nidra session is intentionally designed to help you deeply connect with the body and breath, so you may relax and release any troubles or worries from the day. It guides you to be present so you may enter the doorway to the subconscious mind, where new habits and behaviors can be formed, and old ones can melt away.
For this session, please ensure that you are in a space where it is safe for you to lay down, relax, and eventually even drift off to sleep. I encourage you to remain awake for as much of the session as possible and then let yourself drift off to sleep when it concludes.
